Dr. Zipporah Weisberg is a Guest Researcher at the Messerli Research Institute in Vienna, Austria and an adjunct professor in the Department of Classics and Religious Studies at the University of Ottawa, Canada. She specializes in critical animal studies, the critical theory of the early Frankfurt School, and existentialism and phenomenology. She has published widely on a variety of topics including biotechnology, climate justice, Left humanism, and animal sanctuaries. She is currently co-authoring a book on the ethics and politics of shame.
