Olatz Aranceta-Reboredo holds a Ph.D. in Communication from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, 2025). They have a bachelor's degree in English Studies from the University of the Basque Country (2020) and a master's degree in International Studies on Media, Power, and Difference from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). Their research adopts critical and interdisciplinary perspectives, focusing on critical animal studies, persuasive communication, and cultural and media studies.
Olatz has been a teacher and researcher at UPF, being a member of the UPF-Centre for Animal Ethics since 2020 and participating in the COMPASS (2021–2025) and PESTS (2025–2029) research projects at the same university, as well as the “Experiències educatives interdisciplinàries al voltant de la qüestió animal. Creativitat i pensament crític” project (2025–2026) at the Universitat de València, and the Animalia Ikasketa Kritikoak group in the Basque Country. Over the past few years, they have published more than ten academic works, including articles in peer-reviewed journals and academic press.
