MARIANO FERNÁNDEZ is a producer, director, screenwriter, and naturalist. He studied at the Avellaneda Film Arts Institute and at the Argentine School of Naturalists. He has more than 22 years of experience working as a production manager, line producer, and producer of feature films and series. In recent years, he has focused his work on wildlife and conservation documentaries, having taken part in several research and conservation expeditions for the prestigious National Geographic Pristine Seas project in Uruguay, Chile, and Argentina; in productions for the National Geographic Impact Story Lab and Japan’s NHK Public Television; as well as in the documentary series Wild Argentina (2023, NatGeo/WDR/ORF/ARTE).

As a director and screenwriter, he has made the conservation documentary SEI, la ballena desconocida (2025, NatGeo Pristine Seas, 1×30’), the conservation documentary series Pumas de la estepa (2023, National Geographic, 4×48’), the fiction web series Crónicas Ferreteras (2018, INCAA/UN3TV, 13×7’), and the biblical western soccer-themed feature film El Hijo de Dios (2016, INCAA, 90’).

As a producer, he has made the documentary series Heroes of Conservation (2019, NatGeo, 2×45’), the photography documentary diptych La Imagen Real  (2023, 73’) and La Imagen Santa (2023, 72’), as well as the rockumentary Relámpago en la Oscuridad (2014, 104’).

He has also worked on international feature films such as the Oscar-winning The Revenant by Alejandro G. Iñárritu (2015), acclaimed Argentine films such as Rojo by Benjamin Naishtat (2017), and television series such as Lynch for Fox Latin America (2012), in addition to taking part in more than 50 international commercials, mainly for the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Spain, and France.

LORENA LAPREBENDE is a lawyer, researcher, and lecturer at Universidad Empresarial Siglo 21, where she leads the research project "Subjects of Law: The Impact of New Perspectives in the Management of Canine Populations in Urban Sectors of Argentina". Her interest in animal rights has led her to delve into the study of animal law, publishing articles in international journals, such as the Revista Latino-Americana de Direitos Da Natureza E Dos Animais, and participating in the book La gestión de los animales en el context de la catástrofe (The Management of Animals in the Context of Catastrophe"). She is a doctoral candidate in Civil Law at the University of Buenos Aires and a graduate in fire management and climate change from UNSAM. She is also the director of the Institute of Animal Law of the San Martín Lawyers Association and a member of the Network of Veterinarians in Catastrophes.
